From the Diary of an Electrician
video, 2020

My artistic interest are intermedia art and interdisciplinary practices, which often results in socially engaged art, various form of socio-cultural animation and urban activism. I work in photography and film, and collaborate with the music collective Antyscena. For purposes of particular projects, I create audio-visual installations, happenings and workshops. I co-organise the Przegląd Kultury Współczesnej Look&See [Look&See Contemporary Culture Review]. In 2008, with Adrian Nejman, I founded the Grupa F13 [F13 Group] and Centrala Twórcza [Creative Central]. Our common fondness for organising cultural events and alternative sites of art and culture in the city runs parallel to my individual artistic practice, but the planes are in constant inter-permeation and equilibrium. Zenon Polus laid the groundwork for my predilection for art in action, art referring to genius loci, for coming out with activities beyond accepted spaces and configurations, and for uncompromising forms and primordial symbolism. I did my Bachelor of Arts diploma in his studio. I had the pleasure of participating in Zenon Polus' Polish-German project, Wegstrecke-Odcinek [Stretch], in the initial years of creating the Rektorat Gallery, and in the Towarzystwo Przyjaciół Sztuki Współczesnej [Society of Friends of Contemporary Art] he initiated. At The Flight of Icarus exhibition, I present Z. Polus' idea of creating the TPSW [Society's] collection. As part of the Collection, I display two works: a video installation, Z pamiętnika elektryka [From the Diary of an Electrician], and an assemblage, Kopiuj-Wklej [Copy-Paste]. Both pieces were produced during my creative relationships with Zenon Polus.
