It's Dangerous to Talk to You, Madam
oil, hardboard, 2007

I attended Zenek Polus' studio in 2004–2005. In my 4th year, I benefited from an opportunity of student exchange to the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, while pursuing my curriculum at the University of Zielona Góra, as a result of which I spent plenty of time on trains. Then, I made sketches, noting overheard fragments of conversation. During my semester classification, after going through my drawings and sketches, Polus only said: It's dangerous to talk to you, Madam, you go and paint it all. Which is what happened.
