The blind (Polus)
oil, canvas, 2020

When choosing where to study art, I considered the Institute of Art and Visual Culture in Zielona Góra. Searching for a motif to convince myself in the choice of my home town for my university years, I came into contact with Zenon Polus and Radosław Czarnkowski. They both prepared me for submitting an appropriate portfolio to my alma mater. Later, already as a student, I chose a different creative path, related to painting. Nonetheless, Polus have always functioned in my mind as one of the creators of the Institute's profile and as the originator of the once renowned Biennale, which took place in the eighties and nineties.
