I met Zenon Polus in May 1987 at the 2nd New Art Biennale in Zielona Góra.
It was a very dynamic and energetic period of learning about one another. Regional borders collapsed, giving us joy of being together.
In 1989, Wojtek Kozłowski and Leszek Krutulski-Krechowicz invited me to the 'po' gallery in Zielona Góra. The spring opening of the exhibition, Installation Abel, also meant a meeting with Zenek.
Probably in 1989, but more likely in 1990, we took part in the opening of Zenek' exhibition at the Gallery in Warsaw, run by Joanna Kiliszek and Andrzej Rosołek. I remember that it was a dark exhibition, while the time foretold significant changes, although their shape and form were not yet foreseeable.
I cannot remember if we met on the 1st of May 2019 at the BWA Zielona Góra during the Pogo action by students at my Studio of Spatial Activities of the University of the Arts in Poznań.
The last time I met Zenek on the 14th of April 2013 when, at Wojtek Kozłowski's invitation, we came together with students from the Studio of Spatial Activities operating at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw to produce the project Wanda Liza at the BWA Zielona Góra.
Meetings with Zenek were always very positive and whenever I recall them, they are always accompanied by an unspeakable warmth and brilliance.
